Armstrong and I'm Senior Vice President of Marketing at
OneGreatFamily. I appreciate your feedback and wanted to comment on
Barbara, we launched this survey to better
understand our current customers, their needs and to help us
understand the best direction we can pursue as a company to meet
those needs. Like all companies, there are many options for where we
can take the company and we are trying to figure out the best one.
As I've only been with the company since August, I felt that
feedback from our subscribers, our guests and visitors will help us
pick the options that benefit the most people. I doubt you would
want us to do this in a vacuum.
We will not use the
information gathered to market to the respondents, nor will we give
this information out to any other firm for any purpose. We just want
to try to have the best understanding we can of who our customers
are, what they like about us, what they don't like about us, and
what they would like from us.

Thank you for your response- it's nice to know that
there is a real someone out there who reads these things. You know,
your response was phrased in such a way, that if IT had been with
the survey questions I would have had no hesitation in replying to
them. It states clearly what the goals are, points out about the
non-marketing aspects and so forth and says with no equivocation
what the point of it all is. The trouble with surveys of the type
that ask for lists of interests and the like is that they go out to
a somewhat world-weary bunch, whose cynicism comes instantly to the
fore. Whereas your email actually sounds like someone wants to know.
If the survey had started with your email, then had gone on to be
followed by questions asking what people wanted ( I know open-ended
questions bring in more data than most surveyors can handle, but you
can usually find a use for the data somewhere) then I wonder if you
might not have ended up with more valuable responses.
So, we have decided to
extend the survey period through Dec 31st. Hopefully those of you
who had the same concerns as Barbara might be willing to take a few
