How to use OneGreatFamily to find sources you didn't have before
Print these instructions
  1. OneGreatFamily users are often working on the same individual. When another user adds a source to an ancestor, everyone with that ancestor in their family tree will automatically see the new source.
  2. To find source on your ancestors go to the Family Tree tab.
  3. On the Family Tree tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Advanced Tree Editor" button.
  4. The Genealogy Browser will automatically launch or you'll be prompted to install the Genealogy Browser. (What is the Genealogy Browser?, Genealogy Browser installation instructions).
  1. After the Genealogy Browser is open find the ancestor you want to check for sources in your family tree.
  2. Click on the ancestor so that they become the Selected Individual on the left side of the Genealogy Browser.
  3. Now click the Selected Individual to open the individual details window.
  4. On the right hand side of the individual details window is a column of buttons. The second button from the bottom, the one that looks like a series of books stacked next to each other, is the Sources button. Click the sources button.
  5. The Sources window will now open.
  6. Double click a source from the "Quote" list to open the Source.
